The Norfolk Broads form part of the Broads National Park and are made up of over 125 miles of lock free waterways. The Broads were originally formed as a result of peat digging in the middle ages when peat was used as a main source of fuel. Overtime, as sea levels rose, the peat pits and channels filled with water and abandoned leaving behind the rivers and Broads you see today.

The Broads are now used solely for recreation and are a popular destination for walking, cycling and boating. The unique environment and eco systems of the Broads have also made it a haven for wildlife, with over a quarter of Britain’s rarest plant and animal species found within the National Park. Bring binoculars and you won’t fail to spot Marsh Harriers hunting over the reed beds, Grey Heron perched along the banks of the River Bure and damselflies skimming the water at Ranworth Broad.

Anglers won’t be disappointed as the Broads are ideal for fishing and home to a wide range of freshwater fish including bream, roach, tench and perch. Moor up and fish direct from your boat or hire a rowing dinghy to access the streams and tributaries that cannot be reached by motor cruiser.

Prices for a boating holiday start from £45pp/pn for our standard fleet up to £145pp/pn for a luxury Elite boats, exclusive of fuel and damage waiver offering something for every taste and budget .

Every boat comes fully equipped with everything you might need during your stay and is carefully maintained throughout the year by our team of experienced boat builders, marine engineers and upholsterers, whilst our team of housekeepers work tirelessly to make sure each boat it spick and span ready for your arrival. We also take your safety very seriously which is why every crew member is provided with an inflatable life jacket or buoyancy aid for young children on arrival. All of our cruisers carry a valid Boat Safety Certificate and are fitted with life rings, smoke and CO detectors.

Don’t worry if you have never driven a boat before, most of our customers have little to no experience when they arrive. During your Boat Handover a member of our friendly team will show you around the boat, explain all of the controls and accompany you out on to the river for a short test drive. Once you feel confident you are free to enjoy your holiday, but remember we are only a phone call away should you need any support during your stay.
