Get your heart pumping
With so many diverse and beautiful landscapes available to explore, no trip to the Broads would be complete without a little outdoor adventure. There are lots of different activities available on the Broads, so it should be easy to find something that suits your kids’ ages and energy levels. You could rent bikes and explore one of the region’s cycle routes, take a kayak tour through the rivers, lakes and waterways or have a go at fishing, golf or even swimming.

Get close to nature

One of the most popular destinations is the RSPB reserve at Strumpshaw Fen, while the floating Broads Wildlife Centre at Ranworth Broad and How Hill Nature Reserve in Ludham are also ideal for family days out.

The Broads are home to a number of fantastic historic sites that are perfect for kids of all ages. Bring the past to life, and take in sweeping views of the Broads, with a trip to Burgh Castle in Suffolk, learn about the region’s history in the Museum of the Broads in Stalham or visit one of the many picturesque market towns that dot the area.
